Navigating to Families, Guardians and Children
In this tutorial, we’ll take a look at the main navigation bar and navigating to each family, guardian and child.
On the top row of links, participants are organized into Families, Guardians and Children.
Families Tab
Click on Families tab
The family selector on the top-right of the screen provides tools to easily locate and manage families in the system.

Active Family Dropdown
- The dropdown displays a list of all active families.
- Each entry is shown as: Family Name (Primary Guardian) for easy identification.

Search Function
- Next to the family selector, click the Search button to find families using any of the following:
- Full or partial family name
- Family ID number
- Phone number
- Next to the family selector, click the Search button to find families using any of the following:

Filter Families with the Slider Icon
- Click the slider icon to open the dropdown settings.
- Use this menu to customize the families displayed in the dropdown list.
- You can filter by categories such as Recruit List, Doula, Waiting List, and more.

Navigating the Family List
- Use the Up and Down arrows to scroll through the family list one at a time.
Guardians Tab
Click on Guardians

Active Guardian Dropdown
- The dropdown displays a list of all active guardians.
- Each entry is shown as: Guardian Name for easy identification.

Search Function
- Next to the guardian selector, click the Search button to find guardians using any of the following:
- Full or partial guardian name
- Guardian ID number
- Phone number
- Next to the guardian selector, click the Search button to find guardians using any of the following:

Filter Guardians with the Slider Icon
- Click the slider icon to open the dropdown settings.
- Use this menu to customize the Guardians displayed in the dropdown list.
- You can filter by categories such as Recruit List, Doula, Waiting List, and more.

Navigating the Guardian List
- Use the Up and Down arrows to scroll through the guardian list one at a time.
Children Tab
Click on Children tab
- The drop-down selector on the right will list each Active Child.
- In the Active Children selection list, the names appear as Child’s Name
- Next to the children selector is the Search button where you can search for any child by name, partial name, or ID #.

- Use the Up and Down arrows to scroll through the child list one at a time.
FAMILY HOME PAGE
- Select a family from the list of active families to get to the Family Home page
- On the Family Home page, all guardians and children for that family will appear here.
Family Compliance and Benchmark Tools
The Family Compliance and Benchmark Tools section provides multiple subtabs to track, summarize, and manage compliance and benchmark data:

Family Summary Subtab
- Displays the latest data entered for the family, guardian, and child across various sections.
- Data can be updated directly from this page or through the left-side navigation links.

PAT Compliance Subtab
- Presents compliance information specific to the Parents as Teachers (PAT) Model.

PAT Records Subtab
- Summarizes family data following the PAT Record format.
- Allows for documentation of annual record updates and reviews.

MIECHV Form 2 Data Subtab
- Tracks compliance with MIECHV Form 2 benchmarks, specific to Illinois requirements.

WA Measures Tracking Subtab
- Monitors compliance with Washington DOH's benchmarks for HVSA and MIECHV-funded programs.

TX-PEIRS Subtab
- Generates TX-PEIRS Data Reports for a specified date range.
These tools provide a comprehensive overview of family compliance and benchmark tracking, ensuring all data is managed effectively.
Family Home: Top Information
The top section of the Family Home page displays key details and provides shortcuts to update family data. Here’s what you’ll find:

Family ID
- A unique identifier for the family.

Primary Guardian Name
- The name of the current primary guardian.
- Click the pencil icon to open a popup and change the primary guardian.

Current Site/Fund Code and Start Date
- Displays the current Site/Fund Code and its associated start date.
- Click the pencil icon to open a popup and update the Site/Fund Code.

Current Case Level
- Shows the family’s current case level.
- Click the pencil icon to open a popup and update the case level.

Primary Home Visitor
- The name of the family’s primary home visitor.

Additional Access
- If applicable, lists any additional providers or home visitors that can view and update family.
This section serves as a convenient hub for viewing and quickly updating essential family information.
Family Current Services Table
Family services are now managed through the Family Service Management section, accessible from the Family Home page.

Family Members Table
- Click on a guardian or child’s name to view their data page
2. Add guardians and children to the family.
3. Select a link on the left to record data for the family and guardians.
Household section
The Household Section allows you to add family members who are not participating in the program. This includes:
- Household - Siblings not enrolled in the program
- Household - Residents in the home other than immediate family
- This refers to individuals who are not immediate family members but live in the household.
Note: Family members added in this section will not be included in reports or counted toward compliance measurements.
