Auto-Save is here! Right now, the auto-save feature is only available on the Planning Guide. Visit Records are next! Auto-Save will be rolling out to Visit Records soon, so you can expect the same seamless experience.
You no longer need to click a Save button. Every field saves automatically a few seconds after you stop typing.
A small indicator appears in the top-right corner of the screen while saves are in progress:
If you see Error saving, check your connection and edit the field again to retry.
Popup windows — such as Goals, Resource Connections, Milestones, and others — are not auto-saved. Be sure to click Save or Create inside any popup to keep your changes.
After 2 hours of inactivity your session expires and auto-save stops. You will see this message:
Click log in again to return to login. Any field that finished saving before the session expired is safe.
New Feature - When another user opens the same planning guide, a presence indicator appears in the bottom-right corner:
Click it to see exactly who is viewing:
When Jane Doe saves a field, your page updates instantly — no refresh needed. A notification appears at the top-right:
If you are actively typing in a field when someone else saves it, your work takes priority — their value will not overwrite what you are writing.
